长期从事发酵微生物选育、工业微生物代谢工程育种、工业/食品用酶开发等研究,主要承担微生物学(含实验)、微生物遗传育种(含实验)课程的讲授工作。近年来在微生物发酵法生产四碳基平台化合物、生物催化法生产高值氨基酸、工业/食品用酶改良等方面开展多项工作。合作发表SCI论文30余篇,获授权国家发明专利20余项,美国专利3项。近5年来主持863计划子课题、国家自然科学基金、江苏省自然科学基金、中国博士后面上项目和特别资助项目5项。获2018江苏省科学技术奖二等奖(5/9)、2018中国商业联合会科技进步奖特等奖(3/14)、2016中国轻工业联合会科学技术发明二等奖(4/6)。
